Spring is in full swing here in sunny California, and I’m continuing my season of simplifying, organizing, and general de-cluttering of all the things. With four kids, two dogs, and a semi-regular habit of moving, I’m coming to terms with the fact that this is an ongoing (lifelong?) process that will never be fully DONE. I want to be okay (even content) with the less than perfect messiness of life, and to be grateful for what that means.
Life.

Our days have been beautiful here in north Georgia — chilly in the morning and getting hot in the afternoon. Just perfect. Just noticed my roses blooming today. My whole house needs decluttering but the bedrooms tend to be the worst.

It’s the 60’s in Colorado and the daffodils and tulips are starting to bloom. It’s beautiful here today. The room I most need to declutter is my office/spare room. It’s full of baby clothes that I’m going through and office furniture that needs moved out so we can turn it into a nursery.

I have a bounty of beautiful roses blooming in my backyard! I was so exited to pick my first bouquet for the house this weekend! I’m looking forward to summer break as my closets might be in the worst condition that they have ever been. Spring is here in Missouri! Some years it seems to go right from winter to summer, but this year we have the windows open and are enjoying the perfect temps.

We’ve spent the winter and now spring in an RV waiting for mold remediation on a house…so it’s super easy for everything to get cluttered! Hoping the end is in sight soon!

Hi, Emily! Thanks for having this. The weather here in central PA has been beautiful. In the last 2 weeks everything has turned green. Our lawn is COVERED with a blanket of violets; once we mow the grass they will be gone until next year. The daffodils are about done, the tulips are blooming, the fruit trees are GORGEOUS, as are the redbud trees. I LOVE this season There is something new every day. Thank you, Lord, for the beauty!

Chance of more rain tonight in Carrollton, TX. My biggest decluttering/organization job now is to go through my preschool toys and teacher things. Our preschool is moving to our church’s new location, so not as much storage space … yet. So I need to go through my closet of goodies and treasures I have had for the past 12 years! Fun times ahead and I will feel sooooo good once everything is in its place here at home.

Hi Emily! The only consistent part of our Oklahoma weather at the moment is that it is allowing everything to bloom, so our pollen counts are through the roof! (Pass the tissues, please!) I’m facing a whole house declutter, as my youngest child graduates from college (fingers crossed — last round of projects!) and will be moving out of state in June to start his first job. 34 years of accumulated clutter that really needs to go away so husband and I can enjoy a new season of empty nesting!

Weather here is nice and sunny! I’m scrambling to get plants out, ha (because a big garden is no big deal at 7 months pregnant right??). I need to declutter my dining room! We moved recently (kind of…), and I am determined not to just store boxes without going through them. Which means I just have a dining room full of boxes lol.

Another Utah person here! In Santa Clara (southwestern corner of UT), it’s warm and beautiful…although we did have a crazy storm burst come through yesterday. It rained full force for about 15 minutes….with full sunshine across the street! My biggest mess right now seems to be the same as a lot of folks….my office/craft room. It’s a disgrace!

We are in top side of New Mexico…we have 70 degree weather one day and snow the next. I can’t wait for spring! The biggest area I need to declutter is the papers around the house. That and a cross country move that is coming, so I guess the whole house! 🙂

It was gloomy this morning in Milwaukee, WI after yesterday’s rain, but suddenly the sun came out in the middle of the morning. It would be hard to say which area of my apartment is the most cluttered !! I am trying to tackle them one by one. My current project is overhauling the kitchen. It looks like there will be plenty of things to donate to charity.

What a fun and encouraging post!!! I’m in the DFW area and it’s been an on and off sunny and cloudy day here. Even more excitingly though, speaking of roses, there are a plethora in the corner of our yard 🙂 Oh the rejuvenation of roses that went untended, unloved and still new growth and beauty came. My biggest decluttering spot is really a tie that’s racing to the finish between the Garage and Play Room/Guest Room…serious stuff on both fronts and oodles of OPPORTUNITY!

After an unusually snowy winter and super rainy start to Spring we’re starting to enjoy some gorgeous sunny days in Eugene, OR and I’ve been busy planting peas and potatoes in the garden and picking loads of tulips!
