Spring is in full swing here in sunny California, and I’m continuing my season of simplifying, organizing, and general de-cluttering of all the things. With four kids, two dogs, and a semi-regular habit of moving, I’m coming to terms with the fact that this is an ongoing (lifelong?) process that will never be fully DONE. I want to be okay (even content) with the less than perfect messiness of life, and to be grateful for what that means.
Life.
Abundance.

It’s still chilly here in Massachusetts. We’ve had hail and snowflakes this weekend, but the grass is starting to green and the buds are forming on the tree limbs, so I know spring is pushing through :). I truly need to de-clutter my old (physical) photos and scrapbook supplies.

Hi, it’s sunny with blue skies outside right now in Beamsville, Ontario. The leaf buds on the willow trees are just starting to open up here. There are so many places in our home I should de-clutter.. I think the bathroom is the only place I don’t need to address. Perhaps the living room or my office is the scariest? I’m sad I missed the video by a day.

Finally getting some nice, warm weather here on the edge of Middle/East Tennessee! Our big areas to tackle are the unfinished bonus room over our garage (which we call “the attic” and has all sorts of random things, especially from when we moved in 3 years ago), the upstairs play area/closets, and just our master bedroom in general (it’s become the “catch all”)! LOTS of decluttering needs to happen at my house! I’ve been having to go back and forth a lot with taking care of my parents especially this last year (they have a lot of health issues and live an hour away), including multiple unexpected surgeries and hospital stays this past year. I also have an almost 8 year old son and 4 year old daughter. Lots of things have just gotten shoved places (& pushed to the backburner), and it shows. I’m hoping to be able to tackle a lot of decluttering once school is out! My parents have been more stable, and hopefully this summer will not be as chaotic as last summer.

Hi there! We had a cool and rainy day here. My son cut tulips for the vase to put at the dinner table tonight. Bless his heart. It is truly the little things in life that make the biggest difference. My basement is over run with boxes of who knows what’s in them. Hoping to be inspired during this challenge to dig in and organize or trash what’s there hidden in the dark spaces of my house.

The weather her was sunny with a perfect temp but little windy. I saw my first hummingbird after putting the feeder out yesterday. I need to clear the clutter in my craft/office area. I want to start crafting again but the clutter is not helping my creativity.

We are currently visiting family in the Midwest and after spending our first winter in the southwest it feels like the rain will never end. At least the flowers have been blooming.
It is amazing to me that my life still contains clutter. My family has downsized from a 3500 sqft house to a 500sqft trailer and I still have spaces that need help. The worst is either the bathroom cabinets or the kitchen pantry. I find it easy to let it fall into chaos whenever there is a door to hide the mess.

We’re beginning to have high temps in the 80s with increased humidity here on the Gulf Coast of Texas. Not ready for the intense heat! Blooms of all types abound as well as tons of migratory birds. We have many bird sanctuaries around here too.
My biggest decluttering challenges are items that belonged to my mom and pictures! Pictures that were my late mom’s and there are tons. My plan was to scan them all and then share them with the family. It’s been almost three years and I’ve gotten nowhere

It’s been almost 90 here all week. I’m not sure about roses but many flowers are in bloom. My mini gardenia bush is beautiful and smells lovely. My whole house needs decluttering but the main areas are the garage, my office, and the playroom. It is out of control.

Hey there! It is about 75 degrees here right now in Southeast Tennessee where I live. My roses have a few buds on them, but nothing has blossomed yet. Everything is so green and pretty … Allegra is my best friend! It truly is beautiful and I’m thankful!
The clutter confession… My little office is beyond clutter… I shuffle and reshuffle and shuffle and reshuffle… Almost every day I’m looking at something while I’m in there thinking what can I do with that??! ( true story!) The kitchen pantry really probably would be a tie… It’s so over-the-top when I open that door, that I just want to close it real quick so I don’t have to deal with it! The space in my house that most needs decluttering is, unfortunately, my closet. Between maternity clothes, pre-second baby clothes I still haven’t gotten rid of, pre-third baby clothes, and my current postpartum outfits and nursing clothes, it’s an embarrassing mess. Plus all the other boxes of who-knows-what we’ve thrown in there, because it’s a big closet. I’m seriously considering a capsule wardrobe and getting rid of a LOT of stuff.

After leaving a blizzard, cold weather and rain behind in Minnesota and in Iowa, I am back home in Virginia and everything is in bloom! The azaleas are bursting with color and my hydrangea bush will be electric with its blue flowers soon. I was so excited to return home to Spring! It has been sunny, beautiful blue skies, and warm weather. I even did a little bit of yard work. My Sewing Room still needs much more work. Almost all of the rest of the house is decluttered thanks to Joshua Becker!

After a few 60-70 degree days and a heart full of hope that we’ve finally crossed over into Spring…it is actually SNOWING here in Chicago today! 🙁
My biggest decluttering challenge is clothing, hands down. My husband and I have six children and there is zero doubt that we have much, much than we need. There are bins (with off-season clothes, maybe?) under the stairs in the laundry room, more bins in the garage, hampers in each of the four bedrooms, and at least 9 filled-to-the-brim dirty clothes baskets in the laundry room. I. Simply. Freeze.
