Hope you had a sweet and blessed Christmas, friend.
Ours was a quiet one spent at home with just us. My favorite kind. And we got to share Christmas Eve with our church family at our traditional candlelight service, remembering the miracle of Jesus coming to earth as a tiny babe. God with us. An incomparable GIFT beyond all comprehension. Favorite gift ever.
My other favorite gift this year was a new study Bible from my husband. Reading this morning, I was reminded that regardless of what we may or may not have, or what the state of disarray in our homes, families, or even the whole world, our HOPE should always be firmly fixed on Him, the One who is always faithful and who has promised that He will return for us someday. True hope. One of my other favorite things this year was seeing our kids come up with gifts for each other, without (much) help from parents.
How about you? Did you have a favorite gift that you either received or were able to give to someone?
