If you’re on Instagram, you may have seen a post from me last week sharing a bit about why I’ve been even more scarce than usual.
Long story short, my computer had a major crash while in the midst of a routine update. And although we’re not completely out of the woods yet, after lots of work and prayer and pieced-together backups, we’ve been able to recover almost everything of importance. Including my artwork and my husband’s books (not to mention almost twenty years of family photos!).
Similar to the spring cleaning we’ve been working on in the house, it’s helped me to take stock of all the digital clutter that has built up as well. In a sense, this has given me “permission” to take the time to go through and decide what is truly meaningful and worth saving.
It’s also reminded me that even in the mundane (and often unwelcome) things that we find ourselves tasked with, it helps to remember that if we are loving and faithful with what we’ve been given, we can entrust the outcome to God. He is, after all, the One who has the whole world in His hands –including computers.
Oh friends, may we be ever growing in our love and faithfulness,
as we rest our hope fully in Him!
